The fast ferry voyager, our new state of the art boat, feathering an air-conditioned room with televisions, was specially designed for an optimal passage at sea with in mind the comfort of its passengers. Less than 70 minutes of crossing with complementary refreshments served on board.
10:15 AM-welcome to "The Pearl of the Caribbean". You arrive in Gustavis, the capital of St. Bathélemy.
A game map will be given out by your guide indicating a route of a scavenger hunt around the island. You will discover it's inner secrets and highlights in a fun and interactive way on your own.
Jump into your jeep, drop your top and follow the map as the wind blows through your hair. So that your family rally is a success, indications of points of interests, beaches and places not to be missed will be revealed during your quest to discover the "Pearl of the Caribbean"… Along the way, answer a questionnaire as you explore and win prizes.
Or if you prefer a rolling topless and steer your own course, feel free to go off path, stop where you want to create your own adventure… Which celebrity will you encounter?
You can decide where to have lunch, a French bistro and Gustav you under an open terrace overlooking the town center and it's Marina aligned with megayacht's, a romantic picnic in a secluded beach or a deserted creek… Or maybe a quick snack along the way, the choice is limitless. Recommendations and culinary addresses for all budgets will be given to you by your guide prior to the start of your adventure.
Pursue your exploration by visiting the stores and boutiques of Gustavia where you will find the most prestigious brands, fashion designs and renown houses of jewelry. Also do take advantage of soaking up some history, the Swedish occupation (1785 to 1877) did leave many monuments and historical buildings that have been restored… Don't forget to visit the museum and the old fort.
Meet back, in front of the ferry dock, your guide for your return back to St. Marten. It will be a pity to leave behind such beauty and charm… But you will always have your memories of the "Pearl of the Caribbean" to carry along with you.
